“Intersecting Faiths - Celebrating InterFaith Harmony Month" - February 15, 2026

Event: “Intersecting Faiths - Celebrating InterFaith Harmony Month" When: Sunday, February 15, 2026 Where: First Unitarian Church of Honolulu, 2500 Pali Highway, Honolulu, HI 96817 Sponsor:   First Unitarian Church of Honolulu and the Interfaith `Ohana of Hawai`i What:   This was a Sunday Service program that was led by Rev. Deborah Bond-Upson, preceded by music, and prayers.  Dr, Bond-Upson explored the intersection of Christian, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Jewish, Sikhism, Baháʼí, and Unitarian Universalists faiths, and presented their primary beliefs on different aspects of faith. Deborah created a single multi-orb Venn image, and shared the common jewels that all faiths have in common, by utilizing examples of how the Golden Rule is universally applied. How Many: 60 people Results: The audience who participated praised Dr. Deborah Bond-Upson, for work in showing the common threads of each of faiths she discussed, and made a compelling case for cherishing what each bring to helping us see the possibilities and benefits of greater interfaith connections. She also focused on the mission of The Interfaith Alliance of Hawai`i (TIAH), and the national group, in which 9 adults and 5 children joined.
