Event report for World Interfaith Harmony Week 2025

 Event name with dates: Love of the Good for positive transformation among health care professionals (6th February) & love of the humanity for positive transformation among health care professionals (7th February)

 Location: Faculty of Health Care Sciences, Eastern University, Batticaloa, Sri Lanka

 Time: 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm in both days 

The two days workshops were organized to commemorate World interfaith harmony week. Health care professionals are from various faith group, but the values in all the faith groups are mostly same like cooperation, peace, compassion, love etc. The target group is medical students, lecturers & consultants, working in the faculty of health care sciences, Eastern University, Sri Lanka. The number of participants on 6th February is 24, including one Consultant Cardiologist, one Consultant Microbiologist, 3 lecturers and rest are medical students. The number of participants in 7th February are 16, including one Consultant Pediatrician, one Consultant Emergency Physician and rest are medical students.

4.30pm – 4.45pm : Greeting session with ice breaker
 4,.45pm – 5.15pm :  “Inner peace in chaos”- interactive session
 5.15pm – 5.45pm :  “Cooperation for the good of self and society”- workshop
 5.45pm – 6.15pm : “Striking balance: enjoying life”- interviewing Consultants
 6.15pm - 6.30pm : “Mastering mind and love of the good”- meditation experience

Time and  Events
 4.30 pm- 4.45pm :  Greeting session with ice breaker
 4.45pm – 5.15pm :  “self-care & resilience” – interactive sessions
 5.15pm – 5.45pm : “Compassion for the good of self and society”- workshop
 5.45pm – 6.15pm : “Positivity from healers’ diaries – interviewing consultants 
6.15pm – 6.30pm : “Love for positive transformation of self & society” – meditation experience

 Each day is ended with feedback from participants and refreshment & gifts. The participants expressed that they are able to experience virtues/values in practical way & able to get insight & experience divine presence, love and clarity.

 I, Dr. P.Kayalini work in Teaching Hospital Batticaloa, Sri Lanka as medical officer in Non communicable disease, healthy life style and cancer early detection Centre. I am past student of Faculty of Health care sciences, Eastern University, Batticaloa where I completed my MBBS degree. I am also member of Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University, India. I am currently enrolled in MSc spiritual psychology and well-being in Mannipur International University, India. I have developed deep wish to help the society to imbibe divine virtues which are emphasized in all faith groups. I hope that my little participation towards love of the Good/God and Love of the neighbors/humanity add on in ocean of all good efforts toward interfaith harmony. I wish to thank all the participants, organizers of the world interfaith harmony week, Dean and academic members of the Faculty of Health Care Sciences and above all, the God for his guidance.
