استاد براتی با توضیح لزوم  نحوه و نمود ادیان به ویژه ادیان الهی و بالاخص دین مقدس اسلام در صحنه بین الملل و حل مشکلات بشر مهمترین کارکرد دین را در عصر حاضر کاستن از آلام بشر و رنجها و خسارتها و تلفات انسانهای بیگناه در مواردی چون جنگهای مسلحانه  وبلایای طبیعی برشمرده  و اعلام کرد که یکی از مهمترین کارکردهای دین برقراری صلح و پایان دادن به جنگهای خونین میان انسانهاست که ثمری جز نابودی شهرها و کشته شدن انسانها و آوارگی و یتیم شدن کودکان  و آسیب دیدن زنان و خانواده ها ندارد.نصوص دینی و دستورات مذهبی باید به گونه ای تفسیر و بیان شود  که هدف اصلی آنها ایجاد صلح و حفظ صلح و پایان دادن به جنگ ها و حل و فصل مشکلات به صورت مسالمت آمیز باشد و در این زمینه باید تولید علم و تولید فکر صورت گیرد. آیات و روایات و احکام همه باید به این صورت تفسیر شود زیرا محکمات قرآن و سنت و سیره انبیا این را می رساند و هر گونه نص دیگری که مخالف اینها باشد جز به حالت استثنایی یا امری که باید اصلاح و تدبیر شود معنای دیگری ندارد در شرایط کنونی که اهل دین و ایمان داران در معرض اتهام هستند که خشونت را ترویج و نهادینه می کنند این مساله باید برای دنیا در قول و عمل تفسیر شود و همه ادیان در این راستا یک همنوایی و همگرایی از خود نشان بدهند تا مشکلات بشر حل بشود. Professor  Barati explained: because of the necessity of the good assert of the religions especially the religion of Islam, in the international context, and to help solving the problems of the mankind, the most important function of the religion id to reduce human pains and suffering through armed conflicts who cause to the mass murders and destruction of the cities and evacuation  and orphanage of children and damage of women and families .Religious resources and teachings should be interpreted in a way that aim peace building and peace keeping and problem solving in a non- violent way. There should be efforts for knowledge production and thought production for this purpose. The verses of Quran and the traditions should be interpreted in this way, because the firm verses and literal traditions of Islam indicate to this and any other texture should be known as an exception or something should be soled and reformed. Especially in these conditions while the religious and faithful people are  charged of promotion and institutionalizing of the violence. This ambiguity should be removed by the words and by the deeds and all of the religions should show harmony in this regard to minimize the suffering of the humankind.
