Science-practical Conference: “Harmonious interfaith relations and Harmonious Ukrainian Society"

Science-practical Conference: “Harmonization of inner-religious and inter-religious relations: strategy and perspectives of understanding in modern Ukraine" was organised and run by the run by Institute of Philosophy of the Ukrainian National Academy of Science and its department of the scientists in religious matters, as well as by the All-Ukrainian Council of Religious Organisations (VRRO). In post-soviet modern Ukraine issues of tolerance, pluralism, inclusiveness are acute and their solution will help to focus on the practical issues of xenophobia,  antisemitism, racism, Islamophobia, in Crimea and on the occupied territories of Eastern Ukraine. The Conference lasted 6 hours with 2 short coffee-brakes. 39 presenters, among whom 12 professors, 28 presenters with PhD, 2 rectors of the religious institutions, 6 clergy persons. The Conference consisted of 6 sessions, which presented such aspects as: - Modern Ukraine: from social problems to the religious-denominational engagement in solving them; - Religious principles of harmonization of inter-denominational and inter-religious relations; - Dialogue as a pathway to social harmony;                                                                                                                        - - Interfaith cooperation in preserving religious values, etc. The success of the Conference was obvious: there is a request to continue this was of communication during this year as a preparation for the next WIHW.
