UN World Interfaith Harmony week was celebrated by the   Karickam International Public School (KIPS), Kottarakara from 1^st to 7^th February 2019.

Inauguration:

The weeklong celebration was inaugurated on 1^st February 2019 at Karickam International Public School, Kottarakara by Mr. M.G. Mathew, former treasurer of Federation of Malayalee Association in America (FOMA).  Mr. K.O. Rajukutty, of Kerala Balajana Sakhyam presided over the meeting. Dr. Abraham Karickam, Mr. K.G. Mathaikutty, Dr. Tenny Abraham, Mrs. Nisha V. Rajan, Mr. M. Thomas spoke on the occasion.

State Level Interfaith Quiz Competition:

Kerala state level interfaith  Quiz competition was organized at Karickam International Public School, Kottarakara. The program was inaugurated by Mr. Anil Kumar, Tahasildar and Judicial Magistrate of Kottarakara Taluk. Seventy  students from various schools  took part in the quiz completion. The quiz questions were based on Religions – 50% and General Knowledge 50%.  Dr. Abraham Karickam and Prof. John Kurakaran were the quiz masters.  The winners of the competition were awarded Cash Prizes, trophies and certificates.  Rs.3,000/-, Rs.2,000/- and Rs.1,000/- were the Cash Money awarded to first, second and third prize winners respectively. The prizes were distributed by Mr. Babu Ponnachen, Retd. Senior  Manager, State Bank of India, Dr. Mohan Lal, Director, Laade Institute of Social Sciences (LISS), Kollam, and Dr. Devi Lal, Clinical Psychologist, Psychological Research & Development Council (PRDC).
