Interfaith Dinner

On the evening of February 5, 2019, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community at the Baitur Rahman Mosque, partnered with the Surrey Interfaith Council, for the first time, to host an Interfaith Dinner as part of the World Interfaith Harmony Week celebrations.  The dinner provided an opportunity for people from a variety of faith communities to interact in an informal social setting while enjoying a meal. The Co-Chair of the Surrey Interfaith Council spoke briefly to introduce a topic that would invite open conversation.  The topic for the evening was an extension of the week long theme of "What role can people of faith play in building neighbourhoods?"  About 100 people attended this wonderful event where sincere friendships began to blossom.
