Charles Gibbs and Yoland Trevino sent a letter to H.M. King Abdullah II of Jordan on December 17 thanking him for his leadership in creating a UN-sponsored World Interfaith Harmony Week on the first week in February, and pledging the support of the URI network. The week was established by United Nations resolution in October. Like the International Day of Peace, Interfaith Harmony Week will be an opportunity for URI CCs and like-minded organizations around the world to organize events to promote and celebrate interfaith peace and understanding. URI staff will produce a toolkit to share ideas and resources with members and friends. Stay tuned!
