Interfaith Harmony Week is the first week of February, scheduled by the United Nations. This is a week of harmony, tolerance and living together. It is accepting and respecting the coexistence of different religious beliefs. It is the most vital thing in today’s world especially in Middle East. While we talk about interfaith harmony, we should know when, where, and how to work with it. Therefore, everyone must start taking actions from a point that can have an effect. We all have potential to make changes.

We as a Dialogue and Culture Organization, organized an event for the fourth year under the name of (The Prayer of a hopeful heart).

In the event we welcomed representatives of all different religions of Kurdistan with a flower in the aim of getting closer to all religions and spreading the message of peace and coexistence. Understanding and accepting each other’s differences for better future of our next generation which we see “the good we do today is the good that we will provide for our new generation in order to provide a peaceful environment for them”.

The attendees of the event were:

 ? Sulaymaniyah Governor

? Consuls of Iran, Korea and Palestine

? The deputy minister of youth and sports of Iraq

 ? Believers of different religions

? Members of the leadership of the parties

 ? Members of parliament

 ? International and local Organizations

The representatives of each of the different religions delivered special speeches expressing their feelings and perspectives about their own religion, they committed that every religion is with unity .

At the end of the event, they started the prayer all together wishing for a better and peaceful world.
