The Sacred Site Visits provide opportunities for participants to visit (virtually for now) houses of worship from a wide variety of faith traditions over the course of the year. The purpose of the “visits” is to learn about different faiths, and to build interfaith friendships. The visits will occur once a month or so, beginning in February 2021.
Visits may include observing a worship service, hearing a talk by a faith leader about their tradition with time for Q&A, or a virtual tour of their house of worship, or any combination of these activities. Time will also be set aside for socializing with other participants. Each host faith group chooses which of these activities they will offer. Later in 2021 we hope we can offer in-person events. For now, all visits will be conducted virtually. The silver lining is – you can be anywhere in Wisconsin and still able to visit faith communities in Madison, Milwaukee, Barneveld, and any where else.
