On Saturday February 6 from 11 to 12:30 on Zoom our special guest poets will each be reading from their own work as well as introducing audience members to other poetry that inspires them. Discussion will follow their readings (and questions about the poetry are welcomed). A poetry sharing circle (or open mic) will follow, where attendees are invited to share a single poem that they have written or that has been written by someone else but proved to be a source of personal inspiration. This special poetry event is brought to you as part of World Interfaith Harmony Week, which has been recognized and celebrated around the globe since it was first adopted by the UN a decade ago. The goals of World Interfaith Harmony Week are to create a culture of peace, tolerance, cooperation and mutual understanding between people of all religions, faiths and beliefs, and to work toward the elimination of all forms of intolerance and discrimination.
