Interfaith Dialogue A process of exploring one’s own consciousness and worldview through direct engagement and relationship building with individuals from diverse belief systems and backgrounds. Guiding Principles for Interfaith Dialogue Humility We are modest in the expression of our thoughts, experiences, and views. Respect We uphold the dignity of ourselves and each other. Heartfulness We engage with self and others from a place of calm and centered awareness; also known as mindfulness. Fellowship We engage with one another as equals. Affectionate Attention Rather than fault-finding, we engage in the practice of focusing on the strengths of ourselves and each other, listening to learn, not to teach. Culture of Learning We recognize that every experience is an opportunity to learn about ourselves and each other. Community We recognize that we are all a part of one community, and we are united in this journey together
