The Northeastern University Center for Spirituality, Dialogue and Service was grateful to welcome Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar for a discussion on healing and peace in the face of adversity. Sri Sri was able to share his wisdom on how to come together and find common humanity in a divided world, and how to find your own path on which to follow your spiritual journey.

Our center, in collaboration with the Islamic Society of Northeastern, the Hindu Community of Northeastern, and Northeastern Hillel amongst others, formally recognized Sri Sri as our 2021 inaugural Global Citizenship Ambassador for his pioneering work as a peacemaker, humanitarian, spiritual teacher, and global interfaith leader.

With over 4,000 attendees worldwide, Sri Sri touched the hearts and minds of many across both physical and spiritual borders. He answered contemplative and deeply spiritual questions with the intent of conveying that we all have a common purpose regardless of religious and personal identity.

The Northeastern University Center for Spirituality, Dialogue, and Service is grateful to Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and to all the volunteers who made the keynote possible and available to viewers around the globe. We can think of no better way to launch our Global Citizenship Ambassador recognition than to dialogue with and learn from a joyful humanitarian who embodies the best of our shared human values. On behalf of the interfaith community at Northeastern, in Boston and beyond, we look forward to working together to nurture global citizens and to build a more just, peaceful, and healthy world for all people.
