This is an annual lecture in honour of Harold Meyer, a former Chair of Watford Interfaith Association, a German Jew who came to England on the Kindertransport in 1939. The speaker was Mr Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi, MP for Slough, the first turbaned Sikh MP who stood up in parliament and called out those who spoke about Muslims and women in derogatory fashion. The video of his speech went viral on social media. He spoke about how you should always stand up for what you believe in, and described different aspects of government and how they work, and then took questions from the floor.
