This 2-day Interfaith Gathering (online only) is organized around concern for our shared futures as a global community, The Gathering on Feb 4th is a Forum that serves as an opportunity to bring together members of the interfaith community in metro Washington DC region and beyond to explore how the faith community might engage to address ongoing and emerging environmental challenges that demand a reframing of spiritual, ethical and moral leadership. Our quest is to explore how the various faith communities might use the teachings and practice of their faiths to help reset and co-create spiritual, ethical and moral tenets needed to help leaders respond to our complex global challenges and practice sacred ecology and environmental stewardship. 2:30-3:30 PM EST -Opening Satsang What does our faith teach about environmental Stewardship and how might we advance the practice of the earth, climate and other charters already established? 3:30-4:30PM EST Widening Satsang What does our faith teach about environmental Stewardship and how might we advance training both its ‘teachers’ and ‘practitioners’ to find and appropriate the spiritual, ethical and moral leadership needed to address ecological challenges 4:30-5:30PM EST Deepening Satsang "How Might We Create a Shared Narrative for Teaching Care for Creation?"   What role might the creative arts play in sharing narratives and creating new sacred rituals?  How might we use the creative arts to help us bridge divides especially between secular spaces and people of faith?" 5:30-6:00PM EST Closing Satsang: Practicing Hope, Faith and Love How can we find faith in the future and cultivate a shared wisdom so necessary for co-existence in harmony with Creation?
