As part of World Interfaith Harmony Week we’re hosting the launch of our new initiative, the Climate Action Network for Faith & Community Leaders next Wednesday, 2nd February at 2pm. As a part of the launch, we’ve invited author and environmental campaigner Rupert Read to be in conversation on the topic of ‘Deep Adaptation’ - the personal and collective changes that might help us prepare for - and live with - a climate-influenced breakdown of our society. Rupert co-edited the book Deep Adaptation: Navigating the Realities of Climate Chaos, and we encourage you to watch this video from co-editor Jem Bendell to familiarise with the central themes of the book. Following on from the discussion, we’ll be hearing from civil society and faith leaders from around the country to share their stories and climate action initiatives for inspiration and discussion. To register your place on the launch, follow this link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/202897942207 In the coming months after the initial launch launch, we will be hosting a series of action-based webinars and workshops for civil society and faith leaders to foster mutual learning and idea exchange. There will also be opportunities for onsite and practical learning with our partners. A flyer is attached with more information. If you’d like to join the Network, please express your interest through this short form: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/7CVDR9N. For more information: [email protected]
