I am writing to support the Interfaith Harmony Day event in Fremont, California, USA, on Saturday, February 6, 2016.

Right now in the United States of America, Islamophobia is taking the form of violence against people and property. The Fremont Interfaith Harmony Day event is an attempt to address Islamophobia and to build bridges of understanding.

The reality is that at the base of all the world’s religions is a call for compassion. Let us all work to make the world a more compassionate place.
