The Committee of Religious NGOs at the United Nations strongly supports the leadership of H. M. King Abdullah II and H.R. H. Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad and the UN General Assembly in the establishment of World Interfaith Harmony Week, 1-7 February each year.
As active NGOs dedicated to bringing the spirit of our traditions into the work of the United Nations, we will work together as a committee and with our individual organizations to build awareness of World Interfaith Harmony Week and encourage activities to demonstrate “Love of God and love of neighbour or love of the good and love of neighbour.”
This inaugural year will be the beginning of expanded cooperation and global goodwill among people of all faiths. Thank you for initiating this Week as a shared focus to build a culture of peace around the world.
