Meditative Walk along 11 Religious/Spiritual sites and conversation

From 10:00am until 4:30pm

At Evera Park

14 Forest Street Trentham Victoria 3458 Australia

Evera Foundation Inc. / +61+3+54241702

On parkland next to the Wombat Forest the walk begins at an aboriginal/indigenous ceremonial site, proceeds through 7 clusters of native trees/shrubs, ca 70 meters apart in the form of a 7-pointed star, each dedicated to one of the 7 main world religions, including 5 additional sites, before ending in the centre, symbolizing the 'Ocean of Life'. Each site has a simple table, some flowers and a specific symbol of its World-view. The walk is ca half a mile, takes ca 1.5 to 2 hours, including introductory meditation at the beginning and a simple gesture/blessing at the end. Then we have a shared lunch and a conversation...We concentrate on the essence or core of each world-view, rather than outer manifestations. The walk is done by individuals and interfaith groups or groups of one religion. Participants come from the local and surrounding areas, between 25 and 120 km far..The guided walk is inspired by Shin Gwydion Fontalba and Thich Nhat Hanh and supported by selections of texts in the form of hand-outs and a booklet, for individual use.
