The event will showcase speeches from 2 city mayors, interfaith & multicultural leaders. The main feature is a fun interactive audience performance by the renowned Melbourne Playback Theatre Company in which people are invited to share their good news interfaith experiences that are then instantly translated into performance.

This event is an annual gathering between Darebin region’s religious leaders, Councillors, Executive Team, and members of interfaith/intercultural communities, interest groups, and general public. 2 - This event aligns with Darebin Council’s Equity & Inclusion Policy and more directly with its Multicultural and Interfaith Strategies to support Council to build a diverse and cohesive community. It also aligns with Darebin Council Plan 2017-2021 Goals 5 & 6 towards equity and contribution to building an empowered community that values our diversity, is inclusive, continues to celebrate the vibrancy that all forms of diversity bring to our neighbourhoods and where everyone is supported to engage and participate fully in all aspects of community life, especially in the face of future challenges. 3. This event will recognise the need for dialogue among different faiths and cultures in enhancing mutual understanding, harmony and cooperation among people and will be a demonstration of interfaith harmony. 4.
