Hillel Milwaukee invites you to our second annual Avi Schaefer Shabbat - Interfaith Dialogue, Service, & Dinner
We welcome students of all religious (or nonreligious) backgrounds for a night of discussion, prayer, food and conversation on Friday, February 23 - Dialogue will begin at 4:30 pm in UWM Union Room 181 and the Center for Jewish Life in Straz Tower at Marquette University.
At 6:00 pm, join us at Hillel Milwaukee for an interfaith Shabbat prayer service (created by a fellowship of peers) - using prayers and readings from many faith traditions.
Following services, around 6:45 pm, enjoy a traditional Shabbat meal and discussion around interfaith topics.
This evening is made possible by the Avi Schaefer Fund. Founded in 2010, the Avi Schaefer Fund is dedicated to empowering young people to be change makers in the world. Before his tragic death, Avi Schaefer was involved in a variety of projects to promote interfaith dialogue, and more specifically, an understanding and peace between Israelis and Palestinians. The Fund will be guided by Avi’s memory as it develops and supports projects that work toward the fulfillment of his dream of peace.
Please RSVP here on Facebook or online at www.hillelmke.org/
