Harmony Day

2018 Brisbane International Arts Festival to celebrate Harmony Week event, is aiming at sharing cultural experience from around the world with Queensland community. It will be presenting exceptional artists from local and overseas, include folkloric and ethical dances, arts exhibitions, painting competition,documentary, cultural workshops, orchestral concerts and theatre performances.
There are artists from Taipei, Changhua, London, and local artists with cultural backgrounds of France, Japan, Spain, UK and India who have been invited and working with the team of WAMCI to design and negotiate details the programs for 2018 BIAF.
This is an art festival with multiple forms of art; five venues are spread out from City to Calamvale.

Cultural Workshops on 9th March 2018 will be conducted by Taipei Puppet Theater at Calamvale Community College.Puppet theatre is a traditional performing arts which is associated with cultural, recreational and economic activities in Taiwan. The tradition has been passed down for hundreds of years. The purpose of the Workshops is for students to have an understanding of the history of puppet performance and to experience the beauty of this form of art. The students will learn to control and manipulate the puppets’ motion and the ways the characters express their feelings and emotions. The hands-on learning experience will be very enjoyable for the students and teachers involved.
