Interfaith Choral Concert

The 12th annual Bainbridge Island/North Kitsap InterFaith Choral Concert will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9 at Rolling Bay Presbyterian Church. Inaugural Harmony Travelogue and Walk

Location: Sikh temple, Gudrwara Sahid in Sembulan, Tai Wei Sheeng Koung in Penampang, Church of Mary Immaculate, Sri Pasupathinath Alayam Hindu Temple Kota Kinabalu and finally Nurul Hikmah Mosque in Bukit Padang, Bukit Padang, MY
Hundreds of city folk, transcending race and religion, visited places of worship to promote national unity through the inaugural Harmony Travelogue and Walk event . Starting out at the Sikh Gurdwara at Sembulan, they dropped by at Buddhist and Taoist temples in Penam­pangm, a Catholic Church of Mary Immaculate in Bukit Padang and finally Nurul Hikmah Mosque in Bukit Padang.

A Discussion of Faith and Space

There was a need expressed by some members of the Brandeis community to know more about the Murthi Sthapana ceremony, and we wish to extend this into a deeper conversation about where to install the Hindu altar and the nature of designated faith space on this campus. To address this, we will have an information session on Thursday in Harlan Chapel at 6pm, the time originally designated for the ceremony. This will be a prime opportunity for the Brandeis community to share feedback, concerns and be a part of this conversation. Women's Interfaith Conference

Women of all faiths, or those with questions about religion, are invited to a conference at the Milton Centre for the Arts Sunday, Mar. 9. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Milton branch is organizing ‘Status of Women in my Religion’, which is open to women only and runs from 2 to 6 p.m. There will be speakers from the Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jewish, Christian and Islamic perspectives. Admission is free and registration and refreshments will start at 2 p.m. Guests are encouraged to register online at [email protected] to give organizers an idea of how many are expected to attend.
