Join Acrossfaiths Foundation for a week‑long celebration of peace and dialogue.

Our Theme: Celebrating Peace, Honoring Leaders – From Prayer to Action, WIHW 2026.

Objectives

- Showcase Ghana’s religious diversity on a global stage.

- Engage young people in schools and Makaranta (Arabic schools) with the values of tolerance and peace.

- Strengthen inter‑faith networks by honouring exemplary leaders and public figures.

- Inspire collective action on climate stewardship and community service.

The programme activities:

1 Feb 2026 – Interfaith Gathering & Launching of WIHW 2026 Venue: A church in Accra (joint attendance of Christian, Muslim and other religious leaders). Highlights: Opening worship, inter‑faith declaration, cultural performances, live‑streamed to national and international audiences.

2 – 4 Feb 2026 – Schools & Makaranta Engagement Venue: Selected basic, secondary and Arabic schools across Accra. Highlights: Symposiums, workshops, and donations of educational items (desks, chairs, books, math sets) to support schools & students.

6 Feb 2026 – Interfaith Awards Ceremony Venue: National Mosque, Kanda. Highlights: Presentation of the Lifetime Interfaith Award to the National Chief Imam, Dr. Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, and Most Reverend Charles Gabriel Palmer‑Buckle; inter‑faith work awards to other distinguished religious leaders, chiefs, the President of Ghana and the former Vice‑President for their contributions to inter‑faith harmony in Ghana.

7 Feb 2026 – Interfaith Declaration, Media Engagement & Closing Ceremony Venue: Media Stations and community centres. Highlights: Cultural showcase, community‑service project (tree planting), and final declaration of commitment to harmony.

Expected Outcomes

Increased visibility of Ghana’s inter‑faith efforts worldwide.

Direct engagement with at least 2,000 students, fostering a generation that values religious tolerance.

Strengthened partnerships among faith communities, government and civil‑society groups.

Recognition of about 35 Leaders who model inter‑faith harmony in our societies.
