The webinar discussed how the artists of the Moscow mural painting artel “Joy” completed the complex and labor-intensive work of painting the Church of the Life-Giving Trinity of the Russian Orthodox Church in North Korea in a short time. The temple was built on the personal instructions of Kim Jong Il, who headed the DPRK in those years. It is a first-hand a story about how Russian icon painters created the image of God on the distant Korean land, among other customs and faiths.
