Malaysia Interfaith Harmony Week Forum 2023's theme is in line with UN's World Interfaith Harmony Week 2023 theme "Love of God and Love of the Neighbour; Love of the Good and Love of the Neighbour". This platform provides one (1) moderator and seven (7) panelists from the Baha'i, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Sikhism, and Taoism faiths to share the importance of love based on their own faith's perspective, messages of goodwill, acceptance of religions, cultural diversity as well as steps taken to enhance this love to society. The forum targets 1,100 pax audiences consisting of government officials, policy makers, members of houses of worship, community leaders and students plus public who are able to view the forum live online/broadcast.
FORUM'S OBJECTIVES:
1. To uphold the first National Principles: Belief in God in line with the forum's theme;
2. To promote the value of respect, appreciation and acceptance in religious and cultural diversity through dialogues, education and public awareness;
3. To create a platform for sharing experiences, knowledge and good practices to promote and enhance harmonious relationships and acceptance in the community; and
4. To increase understanding and harmony between members of multi religions through effective interaction and emphasis on the practice of universal virtues especially the values of goodwill.
