Women in Kaduna state North western Nigeria has taken the world interfaith week Campaign  to schools and communities with the aims of raising more awareness to women and children’s
Ramatu tijjani a peace activities and interfaith specialist says , the Interfaith Harmony Week was established to celebrate the principles of tolerance and respect for others that are deeply rooted in the world’s major religions, adding, “that is why United Nations declared and dedicated the first week of this month to promote all activities that encourage and enhance religious activities and tolerance.
She  pointed out that the impact of the previous ethno-religious and political crises in the state that claimed hundreds of lives and properties was a serious setback peaceful co-existence in Kaduna, urged clerics from both religions to preach sermons that foster unity and peaceful co-existence. Interfaith education play a significant role in sensitizing the public about other religion and how to accommodate each other with the aims of living in peace and unity among different faith base organization She says ,  Basic learning about other religions is important, yet it is not enough to establish a deeper understanding and appreciation for the need for interreligious diversity in society. Intercultural dialogue and interreligious dialogue are essential tools in the development of intercultural and interreligious competences.
A safe space to encounter the “different other” can be an effective educational tool in developing these competences. She then “called for the creation of institutes of comparative studies in the country, saying the institutes would promote better understanding, religious tolerance, forgiveness, reduce blasphemy tendencies and continuously preach peace and harmony between Muslims and Christians.”  
“In order to make statements or generalisations about religion, the concept of religion, rather than a specific religion or group of religions, we need to engage in comparative study of religions so as to reduce ethno-religious attacks and blasphemy.”   She says,this is the 6th times,she is organizing interfaith harmony celebration in northern nigeria   While calling on citizens to learnt how to accommodate and tolerate each to live in peace and harmony
