Horizon Representatives Recognized at Jordan’s 80th Independence Day Celebration

Representatives of Horizon Health Network attended the celebration of the 80th Independence Day of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Canada, where they were recognized for Horizon Health Network’s achievement of winning Second Place in the King Abdullah II United Nations World Interfaith Harmony Week Awards 2026.

Ms. Frances Onuora and Ms. Pam Driedger represented Horizon Health Network at the event, which brought together distinguished dignitaries, community leaders, and guests to celebrate Jordan’s national day and the values of dialogue, mutual respect, and understanding.

During the celebration, Her Excellency Sabah Nizar Rashid Al Rafie, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Canada, represented His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein in presenting the award recognition to Horizon Health Network. The recognition highlighted Horizon’s outstanding contribution to promoting interfaith harmony and social cohesion within its communities.

The event provided an opportunity to acknowledge the important role played by Horizon Health Network in fostering inclusion, diversity, equity, and mutual understanding. The honour reflects the organization’s ongoing commitment to building respectful and harmonious relationships across the diverse communities it serves.
