Panellists

Professor Esra Özyürek, Sultan Qaboos Professor of Abrahamic Faiths and Shared Values, Cambridge. Professor Özyürek joined University of Cambridge after having taught at the London School of Economics and University of California, San Deigo. She completed her PhD at the University of Michigan and prior to that she received a completed her undergraduate degree in Sociology and Political Science at Bogazici University, Istanbul. She is also the Academic Director of the Cambridge Interfaith Programme.

Professor David Feldman, Birbeck, University of London. Professor Feldman has been Director of the Pears Institute for the Study of Antisemitism since it was established in 2010. He joined Birkbeck in 1994 having previously held lectureships at Christ's College, Cambridge and the University of Bristol and specialises in the history of antisemitism, Jewish history, the history of migration in modern Britain and the history of racialization.

Professor Stefanie Schüler-Springorum is the director of the Berlin-based Centre for Research on Antisemitism. Her previous roles include Director of the Institute for the History of German Jews in Hamburg, Chair of the Leo Baeck Institute’s Academic Working Group in Germany and teaching at the Technical University of Berlin. Stefanie's work focuses predominantly on German and German-Jewish history in the 19th and 20th centuries. Her academic work has also focussed on gender history and 20th century Spanish history, with a particular focus on the Spanish Civil War.

Dr Keith Kahn-Harris is a sociologist and writer whose research interests include the contemporary British Jewish community. He has conducted research for several Jewish communal organisations and he runs the European Jewish Research Archive at the Institute for Jewish Policy Research.  He is a senior lecturer at Leo Baeck College where he teaches the courses Understanding Jewish Communities and Talking About Israel.
