As part of World Interfaith Harmony Week, Mosaic: Interfaith Youth Action will host a Circles of Action gathering on February 1, 2026, bringing together middle and high school youth from a wide range of religious, cultural, and nonreligious backgrounds for an afternoon centered on interfaith dialogue and relationship-building. This session will focus on Dialogue 101, introducing participants to the foundational skills needed to engage in respectful, meaningful conversations across difference.
Youth will take part in facilitated Circle dialogue led by trained Mosaic staff, where they will practice active listening, sharing personal experiences, asking thoughtful questions, and engaging with differing perspectives in a supportive environment. Through interactive activities and guided reflection, participants will explore how faith, identity, values, and lived experience shape the way people see the world, while also identifying shared values that connect them across traditions.
The program is designed to empower young people with practical dialogue skills they can carry into their schools and communities, especially during a time when polarization and religious intolerance are on the rise. By centering youth voice and emphasizing empathy, curiosity, and mutual respect, this Circles of Action session advances the goals of World Interfaith Harmony Week by fostering understanding, strengthening interfaith relationships, and cultivating the next generation of bridge-builders.
