SUMMARY:Protone Symposium: &#8220\;Security in Prayer: Creating Safe Spaces for Faith and Prayer as Part of Living Religious Freedom&#8221\;.
DESCRIPTION:Synagogues\, churches and mosques are repeatedly the target of violence\, vandalism and terror. Due to the increase in such attacks\, it is becoming increasingly important to protect public spaces in general and places of worship in particular. For this reason\, the EU project Protone was launched in 2023\, involving eight organisations from Italy\, Spain\, Belgium\, the Netherlands and Germany. Together\, these organisations are investigating the local situation of Muslim\, Christian and Jewish places of faith and prayer from a security perspective. To this end\, scientific field studies are being carried out. The aim of the project is to improve the protection of places of worship and to promote interfaith cooperation in security programmes for places of worship.\r \n \r \n As a project partner of Protone\, the Dialogue and Education Foundation (SDUB by its initials in German) is delighted to welcome all participants to the first symposium in the series of three on February 7\, 2024 in Berlin.
LOCATION:Hannoversche Str. 5B\, 10115 Berlin\, Alemania
