This annual event brings together representatives from sixteen different religious and non-religious/humanist traditions to offer prayers and statements on behalf of peace and justice and the promotion of World Interfaith Harmony. This year's service was hosted by the India Center of Westchester, with a keynote address by Dr. Sudhir Vaidya. His remarks taught the audience about the basic beliefs of Hinduism and the need for World Interfaith Harmony. Two Proclamations from the Westchester County Board of Legislators, Chairman Benjamin Boykin, and the Westchester County Executive's Office, George Latimer, recognized World Interfaith Harmony throughout Westchester County. Special recognition also came from the State Assembly Office of the Honorable Nader J. Sayegh, NYS Assembly 90th District.
