Chairman, UPF-South Asia Member of Parliament of Nepal
Universal Peace Federation south asia, Nepal
On behalf of the Chairman of Universal Peace Federation (UPF) and on my own behalf, I have immense pleasure in extending warm greetings of friendship and felicitations to the organizers on the occasion of the World Interfaith Harmony Week (WIHW) 2017.
Peaceful societies can only be built on the foundation of a strong justice system and of a concrete intercultural and interreligious dialogue. The promotion of dialogue among different communities and civilizations is, at present, a priority for the international community. It is only in dialogue that communities can truly meet and understand one another.
We would like to express our full support for your work for interfaith and intercultural harmony. It is obvious that dialogue between cultures and religions has become one of the main pillars of modern cultures, and one of the ways we judge the maturity of today’s religious traditions. This is an extraordinary initiative and it should have the concrete support of all heads of state and leading international organizations focused on building a world where the cultural diversity is respected and valorized, where people from different cultural backgrounds work hand in hand for solution of global problems and for sustainable development.
We at Universal Peace Federation (UPF) fully support World Interfaith Harmony Day.
